Iv got a 100 in 7mm rm haven't had it long certainly handles well , like almost everything about it on the accuracy front wasn't much chop..im not sure if it just didn't like the ammo which has happened with a few of my other guns as well or something else , iv left it in capable hands just waiting for the wind to go away its been howling down here supposed to be the same tomorrow , il report back when I get it back .i spoke to another bloke a few weeks ago he has 1 in 6.5 creedmoor gave it the thumbs up all round he was very happy with it.

Didn't ask , that's a bit advanced for me iv never thought about it except when it comes to shotguns as Im always removing the barrels to clean them , I presume threaded ?...its not a takedown ! I can find out though when I pick it up & report back.
Not sure if you have seen the testfires on youtube but there are a few they seem to rate them pretty well.

You should be fine @Ruawai. The Sauer 101 has its barrel effectively heat shrunk on. (I forget the proper term.) One of the changes Sauer made with the cheaper 100 was to have the barrel attached the conventional way. i.e threaded on.

Thanks Boaraxa & Kudu. My Uncle was talking about getting one in 6.5 and I was thinking of getting a 308.

I reckon they are great guns. A bit heavier than a tikka so we will see how popular they become.

I love Sauer. So much so that after looking into this 100 i might have to get one. I had a 101 and it was a great gun, although a little heavy one loaded with high mag scope ect. This gun looks exactly like a 101 except for turning the 6 small lugs (101) into 3 large ones (100). The safety is also simpler (the 101 was a bit of a pain, i think i would prefer the 100)
I just did some reading and it does look like they have stuck with heat shrinking the barrel into the receiver, which was a bit of a turn off for me getting it suppressed etc.
My 101 shot everything into an inch or better. federal blue box was at 0.9" and norma was at .45". PS the action is the smoothest, most solid action on a production rifle today. Period. I dont think you can go too far wrong.
