Thread: *Vihtavuori N550 .280ai 140/150gr pills

Hey all,

Struggling to find any solid (reliable) load info for vv550 with 140gr and 150gr pills for a .280ai. If anyone has some data to save me starting with piss weak loads that would be great great!

Never used N550 but W760, RE17 and RL19 gives very good speed and accuracy in the 7x64 with the 150,s

I load for a mates .280 imp and use N560 with 162 Amax.
Get 2950 ish with around 60 grns.

Sneeze has one and gave me the starting loads.

N550 might be a bit fast burning. N560 is likely to perform better.

I was after some n560, but was difficult to track down. From the info I've found, n550 sits between ar2209 and 2213sc. I currently use 2209 with 150gr btips as i run out of room if using 2213. Still got plenty of case space with 2209 but thought I'd try a different powder.
