    120 and 7-08

Someone was asking about the 120 Sierra game king.
I used them years ago with good luck and had a 100 left so am using them again.
They are a damned good bullet.

Last night. 324 yards. Bang flop. No excessive meat damage.
    Here’s the exit.

I use the 140 game king in the 7mm08 a lot for pest control and it’s very reliable on reds of all sizes, the 140 nbt is my choice for the 400-600yrds shots

You have my last box of 120g nbt Tahr

I’m saving the 120 noslerBT for when the antlers are back on. They are particularly violent killers.

Yes they are, also quite a stout bullet too. I shot a goat i picked out of a mob, the goat i shot fell over plus two more behind it. Quite close range too.

7mm-08 is great, using the right projectile things just get better.

Nice, good to see you using different calibers to , I have my favourite but it's good to take something different out from time to time.

I just got a couple of boxes of 130gr to try as a medium lighter load. Hopefully they should work pretty well

130gr Speers? If so, I use to use them when I first started handloading, they shot super well and killed everything very quickly. I was only pushing them at 2800 fps.

Yes. Sounds like they shoot well and pretty forgiving. Not exactly a good bc or anything but available and a good price

I've used Sierra gamekings in .270win for almost 10 years - I had a stock pile of PMC Silver ammunition with this projectile loaded. They have been reliable killers I ran out recently and changed to Hornady Whitetail (interlock projectiles) and I'm not so impressed. Have started reloading and have ELD-X for .270 but Loaded some Gamekings for the .308 bushpigs which I have high hopes for.
Just need to get out of lockdown so I can get to the range to do the load development.

I have also run out of 120BTs but have some 130 Speer boat tails in the cupboard. I was using 45grn 2208 with the 120’s and also have some CFE223. Anybody got some loads with those powers for the 130’s??. 16in Kimber. Thanks

I'm thinking of trying 8208 as it's what I have but in theory should be suitable
