    120gn 7mm08 loads

Just started playing with some 120gn Sierras and 2208 in my Stug Stocked bush pig Model 7 (2.850kg inc scope and suppressor).

Getting around an inch and juat wondered if anyone had a pet 120gn load in 7mm08 as keen to try a few different projectiles.

44, 45, 46gn 2208. Have yet to put over the chrony as will try 44.5 and 45.5 to see if group tightens up. 140gn Nos BTs and ABs have been a long favorite so will be keen to try these (BTs). Tried some 120gn TTSXs or such from Barnes but slightly worse than the Sierras (at least over 50gn 2209 before I got some 2208).

I don't give powder weights on the forum mate

Do a ladder or read some of my OCW comments, and see what works in your rifle.

Seating depth wise I was happy with 10 thou off the lands. Nice easy projectile to tune.

Loaded some 120 sierras for a young fella. Book starting load of 2209, fed 210, hornady brass. Shot 9 deer with them now, all bangflops. No recoil to speak of.

Yep my pet load is 50gn 2209 with 140gn BTs, shot 3/8" groups but going to 120gn looks like 2208 is able to produce more velocity....
