@leighos - I ended up getting some Eley Olympic Blues to try instead of the falcons... might have been a mistake
Still waiting for my roll crimper to arrive but cut one of the Eley's open for a look and I don't think it will be able to take a roll crimp without trimming the petals as they sit right up under the existing star crimp, the falcons had about 5-6mm of side wall above the wad after trimming (due to a shorter wad I guess)
