Thread: 180gr sst load data.

In a 308, Sako.
Have most of the 308 powders on hand but would prefer to use 2208 as that is what I have most of on hand.
Other Sakos I have had and with 150gr sst I haven't been able to reach the lands in a mag fit....this rifle and 180s looks like I will get a just touch in the mag ( preliminary rough look)

So....180sst in your rifle jump touch or jam and by how much?

If not 2208 which should be the perfect fit what other powder?
If you have a load that just shoots good please post up.

Would normally just titu myself to find best load but in the current climate best to conserve components I guess.

Im not much help wit the 180 but i run the 165 SST in my 308 tikka and find them great with a case full of 2208

I was using 41grns 2208 with either sierra sp or the awesome hornady rn worked very well at bush ranges for me.

45g 10 thou of the lans, long tikka mag. going 2600fps out of 18" 1-8 twist barrel
think kelly country had a box of them last week
