Ok paired comparison, same shooter, better stat design.
Didn’t pick this up on your earlier post.
Thanks for the clarity.

Im running 73.5 of 2225 from a 20” tikka
2840fps with the 162 eldx
My load is 72gn of 2217 out of a 21” tikka.
Matches the Hornady ELD-X factory load of 2930 which is helpful.
74.2gr 2225, adg brass.
2950fps in 21inch
what's your coal
mine is pretty heavily compressed at 73.5 (Winchester brass)
and I'm seeing mild pressure signs not enough to bother me for a low-volume hunting rifle
don't ask me what that is off the top of my head
I was wondering because I'm pretty sure another 0.7gn would be very warm in my rifle
How did you get on with a load ? Interested to see what you settled on.
I shortened mine to 20 inch not long after I got it.
I used Vihtavouri N160 62.5 gn and a Sierra 160 game king.only doing 2753f/s .
At the time it was what was available so I stuck with it and it filled the freezer. Have a box of sierra 165 gr TGK #4565 that I’ve been meaning to try and some different powder choice.![]()
What primer are you guys using for these loads. I was using a CCI 200 primer cause that's all i could get at the time, but recently tried some federal 215s with the same load and got an extra 50fps and very consistent speeds , 3000fps from 22 inch barrel but think its right on the cusp of a bit hot!
I chopped my 7mag laminated stock T3 to 22” when i added the dpt on the end have a zeiss 3-15 too!
Back then 2020 I been using N560 for several years after reading positive recommendation from Tracey Short (Dead Eye Dick) looking up my notes the last load I recorded was 162 Amax with 72.0 gn n560 norma brass fed 215s. 3 shots went 3044/3086/3079.
Rebarrelled to 7Saum 20” in 2021.
