Just start at say 54 grs and work up, you may be able to go above the book max but if you can only get around 2600- 2650 fps before you max out you still have a grunty load that will work a fair way out. Should be dynamite out to 200 yards. Recoil was no worse than the 180 gr loads I was using so all good in that department.

Thanks, have loaded a few 5 shot groups, starting at 55, 55.5, 56, 56.5, 57 and 57.5 . Will be watching for pressure signs as I go (may not shoot the last group). Will also shoot them all through the chronograph ... just need some fine weather...
