    208 Amax in 300 H&H

I have just picked up a older rifle chambered in 300 H&H. Does anyone have any experience running 208 Amax in this cartridge?

Also any tips about reloading a case with such a long neck would be appreciated.

    Thanks in advance

Ream it to 300 WBY and then it gets easy, 208 Amax doing a comfortable 3k and not difficult to find sweet spot.

It will probably end up being re barreled into a 30-375 ruger.......but I'll see how it goes as it is first

Its a 1948 Rem 721, not original stock tho, 24" barrel.

@ Kiwi Greg. If I do change to a 30-375, it will get a new barrel. This one has a bit of corrosion in it.

Very Nice, I would leave a nice old rifle in a classic calibre as it is, I'm sure you will find a projectile that will work in it, be a shame to rebarrel it!

Throw up a pic, would love to see it!

Here goes a few pics of her. She has had an aftermarket stock added at some stage, the blueing is chipped and worn.
