    208 A-Max Load

Running 26" Barrel 1:10 Savage 12FVSS, wanting to give the 208gr A-max's a jam and just wanting to know what people are running load wise with what velocities.
Got a heap of ADI 2208 so wanting to stick with that if I can.

Looking at starting at around 39gr and going up from there.

Any help/advice much appreciated, had a quick search but didn't find any definitive info.

oh yep, Ive used this projectile in a Remington 5R 24" barrel, 42gr 2208=2452fps. This load was mag fit.
Also if your willing to try RL17 you will be able to push it abit faster, accuracy was best at 2530fps but had it over 2600fps whilst using RL17

Are you intending on using it for game or targets? If so on game, it works mint as.

    and the like.

Might start lower still just to be safe.

Also look through the Snipers Hide forum under range report/exterior ballistics-there is a thread dedicated to this bullet and caliber, some of the speeds they claim they get is impressive

Awesome cheers, mate. Was hoping I was on the right path. Just loaded up a heap in .5 gr steps from 39-41.5 so far. My rifle has a tendency to spit things out a bit faster than usual so hopefully I can get them up there safely.

Mostly on targets but will be used on game when the chance presents itself.
