The Mericans love the 215 & 230s out of their 300Win mags.

The 230s work well at just over 3000 fps.
The 208s are very soft compared to the Bergers.
If my Norma shoots the 230s I will be using them over the 215 or 208s
Getting good accuracy & velocity with them in my little superlight 300 Rum

OPPs , as I am a cheap Bast$#d , I will use Amax , as they are as cheap as chips , compared to the Gold plated Bergers .
    I would like to see them make 230gr Amax 30cal , prefect for both subsonic 300BLK & 300WM , NICE .

If I have a Lamborghini I will run it on premium fuel even if I'm only going down to the shops & back

To some people it would be

Definitely at slower velocities the 208 Amaxes with open up, but give them a shove with in a decent size case with a nice twist 8-10 & they don't like it at all especially at close range.

Was pushing them in a 10 twist at 3050 with great results, tbf I don't think I shot anything under 350odd with them, they dropped like a brick.

Greg's pill knowledge would be very hard to beat.
I no that with the animals I've shot using both and your mv of 3000 I'd go amax.
For some reason the computer won't read the memory card on my videos
Who's shot any animals with the 230 or 215 doing 3000 might be better question Cam.
    Or put more powder in

How would they go at Rum speeds ?

You can always try them or the Bergers, easy to change with an accurate rifle if you aren't happy with the results

A local client with a 300 TM has rolled a Chamois, & a few goats & deer at decent ranges out to 8-900 with the 230s

    I have plenty of 208s, 215s, & 230s here

At rum speeds they make a bigger hole to let the sunlight in

It's the sunlight that kills the deer, the more sunlight you let in- the quicker they expire
