I have had two, and at sum point will get another, esp if I move back down south. great open country varmint round, and with suitable bullets, 60gr partion, 64 gr soft point win, or any of the a-max 75, 80 gr, ok for deer, chamois.
Yes its a very flexible cal, but really needs a 1-10 or 1-9 twist to really shine, the yanks have that cal all ballsed up with a 1-14 twist, this is now changing, browning, savage and I think ruger predator are aviable in fast twist.
I had my HB browning safari, (round body, sako action)spitting 55gr at 3770, 100 fps, shy of the 220 swift, 60gr partions at 3700,
and was playing with a reduced load and trail boss, with 45gr hornet bullet.
if you get a fast twist, you can push a 75-80gr a-max as fast as a .243 can, (3400-3500) but have higher BC bullets, AI will gain about a 100fps, but brass doesn't stretch as much.
