I tried Barnes 55gr TTSX in mine and they were awful as won’t stabilise. Yet they’re great in my 1-8” .223. If you can get them to shoot in your 22-250 I’d be keen to know what powder you use.

Nosler BT 55gr and Horny V-Max 40 & 53gr are all incredibly accurate in my 1-14” 22-250. Have shot one red deer with neck shot at around 200m with 40gr and decided will never use it for such a large animal again.

Dead is dead, but I’ve now committed the 22-250 to target shooting and long range bunnies, cos feel the small projectiles aren’t ethical on deer, as conditions are seldom as good as they were the day I shot it. Each to their own though.

55gr BT, 60gr Partition and 69gr SMK are my favourites in my .223 1-8”

Let us know how you get on
