    22-250ai with heavy pills

    Have just fire formed a whole lot of 22-250 brass and am ready to load some heavy pills, what loads are others using in this or similar calibres? Barrel is 26” 1:7 Bartlein, have a good amount of BM2, 2208, 2209 and Win760 on hand and 75gr, 80gr and 88gr eld-m projectiles.

    Try some 62gr Barnes TSX. Your gun equivalent to a 223wssm.Use 2209.

    Yeah well heavier pills call for slower powders. You can use 2209 but I suspect it will top out a bit before 2217 so it won't be making the most of it.

    I’m using 80g eldms and 80.5g bergers. 3260 and 3180 were my accuracy loads. Only tried RL16, worked so well I stopped there

    They have only delivered close to wellys as was at Ded the other day with a few just delivered boxes.

    Im running 88gr pills over 2209 in my 22 CM, managed to get 3350fps with ease, but had to drop down to just below 3200fps - PRS rules. 2209 should work in the 22250AI
