    2206h for 223

I've been reading through some of the messages here regarding loads for 223. It seems 2206h is the go to powder for most. Does anyone know if this powder is available anywhere? Most places online state out of stock.

It's far from the only powder that will work.

Keep an eye out for BM2 and 8208 too. 2207, 2219, and 2208 are plenty good with the right bullet weights too.

As powder supplies stand at the moment would look for an alternative, I use Benchmark 2 with the heavier projectiles ie 70-75gr.

I'm using winchester 748. Much the same performance from my understanding.

223 would have to be just about the most forgiving cartridge of powder choice, there's very little to be list or gained in real terms between the best to worst especially with 55gn and like projectiles. I'd just change to whatever you can get a tub of.

There's a heap of AR2206H at H&F Kaikoura for anyone passing by

H 335 works very well in my Mod 7 averageS 3243 fps with 52 gr Speer HP and 3091 fps with Hornady 55gr SP/WC. Seems to be available at present.

2208 will be very very slow with 55s, even with 75gr bullets it was slow as bell in my 223.
Id try find some 2206h or Benchmark 2.

    Imr4895 seems to be available.
BM2 works best for me with 55gr pills.

2208 works ok with 55 grs but unless loaded to around book max you may get a few unburnt grains in the bore especially in short barrels.

    I'm using:
    AR2208
    24.7gr
    55gr superoo

    Works for me. Foxes die.
