    .222 and 2207

Last of my 222 load development (aka fucking around) with 18.9 and then 19 Gr 2207
Surprising the difference one tenth of a grain of powder will make, but then again not really, in such a small case

Interesting, gone past the sweet spot. As you say, doesn't take much. What distance? What firearm? Projectile?I have a BSA CF2 in 222 which I did LD for a while ago now and had similar sort of results. Played with diff powders and projectiles. Lots of fun. Been parked for a while, too many other distractions lol

    Greetings Bos.
IMR4198/H4198/AR2207 has been the go to powder for the .222 Remington since it came out in 1950. The standard load has been 20.5 grains or a little more for the whole time and this is a low pressure load for the 50 grain projectile. You may wish to move the load up a bit for some more velocity. Based on experience of others rifles groups like your better one are quite common with this neat little cartridge.
    Regards Grandpamac.

How you off for brass @Bos? Some GC gave me some brass with some powder I brought off him. Wasted on me. Happy to give to you if you want?

Bench mark2 is the accuracy powder with 50/53gn projectiles. I use 21.5gn of 2207 with sierra 40gn blitz, smokes hares, bunnies and peacocks out to 350m

Thanks for the offer but pretty good right now. Bought a heap of Lapua brass a while back so probably got enough to last a fair while
    Thanks again though

Used to load for a Brno Fox 222 with 21 grs of 2217, with 50 gr V Max,t was fast and accurate used to open the bunnies up real good at all ranges.

Tidy group. Top effort. I use 748 for the Vixens that I load for my mates. They swear by the 60gr Hornady pill both for accuracy and terminal results. I see someone has a CF2. Still have recurring nightmares 45 years later about the 270 CF2 i used to use.
