ey fullahs over there,what are yas using in the 222 with heavier 55gr stuff?
currently bin usin 2207 but the gun strikes pressure or erratic groups after min charge, so its goin around 2700 ... fine for an all rounder but i wanna flatten that out for foxes, ya rekon 06h or 08 worth a go to see if i can get a lower chamber pressure but bit more velocity?
using those zombie max projies... deadly lol
Have you had a look at the Hodgdon and ADI data online?

I used 2206h in mine
I was using ask benchmark2 in mine with 50 grainers, good speed and accuracy was excellent.
I've used 22006H which is similar to IMR4895. Ive used 2207 with 55gn pills, shoots ok. And I load 24gn's Win 748 with a 60gn pill - that works well, bloody well! If you can get hold of some 748, about 24.5-25gn's should work with a 55 gn pill.
IMR 8208XBR looks like it will go all right with 55s in the trebly. I use it in my 22-250, beautiful powder to work with that meters very nicely. Hogdon data says 3100fps + with 55gr in the 222. That's plenty of oomph
2206h would be my pick
I've read through alot of threads both on here and the other forum on this subject, the top 3 people seem to be using and having the best results with are adi 2207, 2206H, and Bench Mark2.
I've decided to start with 2206H to run in both the treble and 18.5inch barrel. 308 but have so far only loaded for 308
very interesting!
keep the recipes coming, i might ask a few Qs about 2206h soon.... or just load some for a tester!
AR2206H & BM2 is what I’ve been using for the .223/.222 but I’m running 50 gr projectiles in the .222
A mate swears by AR2208 in his .222
Another vote for BM2.
Outstanding powder that meters wonderfully.
I generally use 2206h but am interested in the results from BM2. I use 2206 with 53gr hornady, 60gr Barnes and 70gr speers and have good results and velocities with all of them.
223 and not 222 but 2206 or winchester 748 work great (and meters awesomely,like BM2) in both the wee case and the 308.
748. Marriage made in heaven like HH on a playmates breast. Outstanding with 60gr Hornady.My mate whom I load for gave some to his mate. Took a rest closed his eyes and head shot fallow stag 180m in head.Using a Vixen.
25gr 2208 (compressed load) + 55gr HDY SP w/c at 3025fps - previous owner's data for a Sako L461. I shot a fair few goats with this load. Currently using 24gr W748 + 55gr Sierra SMP with good accuracy.
