Just chatting to a mate of mine whos just brought a 7mmrm and has being told 2225 has being discontinued anybody else herd this? Am I right in telling him hodgdon retumbos the same jam different lable?

That dosnt sound right? i doubt it. yes retumbo is hodgdons equivalent powder. Thats what i use. could also use 2217. (h1000) is hodgdons equivalent. Im sure he will find some 2225.

Yep hes got about 4 tubs just seemed odd to me when he mentioned it so thought id ask if anyone else had hurd the same thing

Hard to see a popular magnum powder like 2225 or Retumbo would be discontinued.

No definitely not discontinued as had an email from the wholesaler that a shipment from ADI is arriving late in the year with said powders.
Retumbo and 2225 come out of the same vat, fact.

Cheers i didnt think it seemed correct he got that from Taupo huntfish when trying to order some

Yep not discontinued, and won't be, too popular, and as mentioned WS hasn't been able to get and is dwlayed further to Oct/Nov
