    223 blanks ok to fire?

I found an assortment of 223 blanks when I was sorting through my ammo cupboard. No idea where they came from, but are they safe to fire, can anyone tell if corrosive primers etc?

Was thinking to use for dog training if ok

Thanks, I think they'd be fine but more worried about corrosive primers as barrel already pretty worn and dont want to make it worse.

They won't be corrosive primers. Recent or not too old ODL product (AKA Belmont Ammunition, Wanganui).

Just having an idle thought. Has anyone ever repurposed cheap milsurp blanks into live ammo?

I'm thinking, cut to length, discard powder, ream if required, neck size externally and with expander button, charge with appropriate powder and seat bullet. I know, probably not economical.
