Thread: 223 GMX load data

Anyone running 55gr GMX in 223? I see hornady say you can use conventional cup n core data for the gmx which is a bit different to Barnes. Anyone loading with 2206H or H335? Be interested to hear what charge/velocity you are getting.

That seems a bit strange, since ADI data has a max load for the 243 GMX that is a lot (up to 4.3gr) lower than for cup n cores of the same weight, across a range of powders.

Nothing magical about that pill. 25Gr BM2.

@TeRei in terms of charge weight or bullet performance?

It is very similar to the 55gr Barnes TSX which I load for my mate. BM2 is a wonderful powder. So reliable and great performer. Tahr was suing them some time back. The ones we used nailed the deer but Hornady phased them out. Went thru a box. Did the bizo. No dramas.
