Thread: 25-06

I have just purchased a 25-06 and want to build a a good load. Have any of you got any recipes for 117 gr and 120 gr.
Would be greatful

2217 powder gave best results for me in Sako75 for 117SST's and 120 partitions. Cant remember the exact load but can look it up in the log book.

Yes hard to beat 2217 and 117-120 projectiles start with the ADI start load and work up .5 grain at a time until you hit the sweet spot, I have just bought some 117 sst's to work with for the first time,
read good reviews on them, 110 accubonds have a good rep as well loaded some with RL22 pity it's not available at present.

When I had my 25 06 I used the 110 gr Accubonds and found them pretty good on game.

I've tried several 115-120gn bullets in my Rem 700. They all grouped best with 53/2213, velocities ran around 2950. As yet, not tried 2217, but RL19 and 22 showed some promise.

Powder and projectile selection is very dependant on barrel length in 25-06, nominate your barrel length to get accurate load direction.
