    25/06

Used t8 have 9ne years ago and have just brought a new one. Anyone got a starting load for the partitions or sirriccos?. I know it doesn't get much love here in nz but it's and old favorite of mine.

I have found ADI 2217 and RL22 work well with 115 gr Bergers and 117gr SST Hornady mine has a 26" barrel shorter barrels may need a faster powder

When I had mine I used AR 2209 and the 110 gr Accubond for about 3100 fps, can't remember the charge for sure, I think it was 51 grains from memory. Check the ADI manual or Nick Harvey's for the exact load.

    What's the barrel length?
    What's the action?
Target velocity with which projectile in what weight?

My current 25odd is giving up 3400fps with the Hornady 100gn Sp from a 22.5" barrel using Ar2209, but loaded hard, not bothered about case life.

24 inch mab barrel sako av action. Looking at 115 partitions and sirroco maybe the new eld-x and also 85 ttsx maybe.
2209 works for me as it's what I'm using in my 6.5 creed. I'd hope for 3100 from the 115s and 3500 from the 85s I guess.

Go to the 120 Partition, the 115 breaks the front section off on heavy bodied Tahr at close range, and then fucks of in a random direction instead of going where it was supposed to, the 120 didn't do it. For heavy/large animals inside 350/400 the 117gn Sierra Prohunter is my first choice, you should easily be able to get 3200 and acceptable case life with IMR7828 (1st choice) or Ar2217 (2nd choice). The new 110 ELD-X looks like it might be good, didn't like the Scirocco on light animals and the listed bc was off.

They expand quite readily in my 257 Roberts at lower speeds so they might be a bit spectacular at 25-06 speeds?
