    Yes but your forming a much larger case.
    Shotgun powder fills a.260 case with a patch.
    I don't seal the case mouth at all.
    Used soap when I first started but found there was no need.
    Reckon you could be right ref that wee mishap he had.

    Rodger that, the patch is fine its the soap Id stay away from. With smaller cals Id rather find an accurate fire forming load with a good bullet and go shooting.

    Yea when I have fire formed in the past (25/08 AI ) I did just that used my pre AI load and just shot it but I used to live on a farm then and did a lot more shooting, so this time I used the no bullet method as I could do it in the garage in town and now I'm ready for the range and load testing.
