    Longer range? (400m)

Probably longer ranges but you never know when something can pop up only 20 meters away

130 scirocco II is a great bullet for the 270win.

140 grain Accubonds (3050fps) work well for ranges out to about 400 yards, but past that can be a little slow expanding at normal .270 velocities.
140 grain SST's (3045fps) for further out - 200 yards out to about 600 yards - but can be quite explosive if used up close or if they hit bone.
140 grain Nosler ballistic tips (3050fps) seemed to perform much the same as the SST's for me.
Have also used the 130 federal blue box extensively, which are loaded with the Speer Hotcore. Have taken deer, wallabies etc out to around 400 with good results, but because of the low BC, I wouldn't use them much past that range.

Being over gunned is under rated.

Same here. Everything that has been hit has gone straight down. Ranges from 20m - 350m, game including fallow, reds, pigs, goats.

Got them going 3050fps out of my T3 with a moderate load showing no pressure signs & mag fit.

All bullets are good these days as long as they are accurate in your Rifle, then you just put it in the boiler room and shit dies
