OK....so compromise here....... the 130grn SST is not popular up close as has reputation for blowing up BUT should be OK out between 200-400 yards as TLB seems to have good run with them.....personally would still be careful about shot placement....now to appease M H ...257 ...and to some degree myself buy a single box of factory 150grn winchester power point....zero rifle with your SST load say 2" high and then check 3 shots of the factory 150s..chances are they will be between the 130s and bull so use them as your spook n shoot load...poke two on top of mag....no trouble to flick them out when setting up for a longer shot and have COMPLETE confidence and faith that sub 200 yards,ol red skin is going to go nowhere and will be leaving big red painted trail where it does go.
neck shooting with them 130s if confident to do so should be very effective,a near miss of bone should be messy enough to still disable animal. Ive got 20-30 of them loaded up to turn hoppers into stinkers,just havent got out to use them yet.
