    270 projectiles

Once this 270 project of mine starts up, I will probably against my better judgement (I am slowly accumulating gear) do/have reloading done for it.
Already have a bunch of cases, some loaded ones with 130gr SST's, and a packet of 150gr oryxy projectiles for reloading.
After doing some research on here, I have seen good comments on the Berger 140gr VLD's, the 143 ELDX's and even the 150 LRAB's.
Thoughts on these and maybe the standard 140-150gr accubonds.
The oryx any good aways out? Not quite as ballistically flat perhaps?
    Cheers

Have a a look at my post in the Buy Sell and Swap. I'm getting rid of all my .270 gear including my Trueflight fluted barrel and Hardy suppressor

Mate I can't reccomend the 145gr eldx highly enough, they are accurate, have a good BC, consistent performance and excellent killers. I've shot 30 Sika with them this year and I will never consider another projectile in .270 again, they are that good. Animals shot varied in range from 15yds out to 476yds, with the group average being just over 250yds.

As always it all depends if they shoot in you're rifle. I e found them to be really accurate with good speed using 59 - 59.5grs of 2213sc.

Oryx are an awesome projectile for 0-350 in the 270 as are the 140 Interlocks and of course the 150 partition. If you're regularly gonna be shooting further I'd look at 145 eldx or 150 VLD

    10! has 270 divisors
270 is the smallest positive integer that has divisors ending by digits 1, 2, …, 9.

Same here have had excellent results with eldx from 10 yards out to 400 yards.
As always shot placement is important but I've found them super easy to get shooting and very accurate which has increased confidence with being able to put the round where I want it at extended ranges. Never had a runner with it all bang flop dead kills

@Bos cheers for that need to get the project finished first. @Ryan_Songhurst haha I got those oryx from Blackwatch reloading on special after you recommended them.
I was getting the idea they werent a long range projectile per se
The eldx is definitely getting some votes
Easy enough to get to shoot too by the sounds

Unless you have a big supply of oryx I'd be hesitant to use them as I haven't been able to find anyone who sells them since blackwatch had them on clearance. Pity they are a hard hitting projectile

Yip, Think I load 58 Gr 2213 with the 145 gr ELD X. 400 - 600 yds is all good provided you know your rifle

Personally from what I have seen with friends using sst's I would relegate them to Wallaby loads. Blow to bits on deer and cause excessive meat damage on the animals that are recovered.

Yup-that's what I've heard too but already had them at that stage
Something to shoot so see how it goes anyway.

What’s the experience with Sierra Gameking 130s and 150s for deer compared to the ELDx 145s?

I would say the gamekings would be a better killing bullet. I have tried them in 6.5, 7mm and 308 never in 270 unfortunately. Mate shot a sika fawn @ 50-60m~ with the 145eldx with a MV of over 2800 and it didn't exit which was suprising
