Thread: 270WSM 130g sst vs the 145 eldx ?

Hi team, recently replaced my 270 win with a 270 wsm as I've always wanted 1.
I was shooting 145g eldx at 2950fps and getting 1/2 moa sized groups, more than acceptable imo.
However the 270 wsm came with load data for 130g sst's
I took them out the other day and they also shoot incredibly tight groups.
My question is with my 270win 145g eldx load I was confident from 100 yards out to 600 yards.
Will the sst's do the job ? Mostly deer, the odd pig, wallaby and hopefully at some stage a chamois.
The bulk of my hunting 95% is open tops deer hunting so want a load that will perform out to 600-700 yards.
If the sst will do that great they are cheaper and laser accurate in this rifle, or should I really be trying yo develop the 145 eldx ?


This was 3 shots at 100 yards with the sst's which I believe are traveling at 3023fps
