thanks @McNotty - I dont do "face-plant" thing but that's good to know as I'm going to play around with some powder options for 7mmSAUM & 300WSM shortly. More so for the 7mmSAUM, have some RL23 loads ready to test for that, have been running 2217. Also wondered if RE26 might be good in 284win ? Pretty happy with my loads in 284 (2209, RL17 and Superformance), but hey if I can get more fps for less pressure then think about looking at it too.
300WSM have gone to Hybrid100V recently with very good results ~3050fps with 180 gn Berger VLD EH's and 0.5moa grps .

I took the Tikka out the other day on a warm morning to shoot some steel, was getting constant sticky bolt and brass flow into ejector pin hole. Will try dial it back a grain with the Re17. It's funny how some guns hit pressure sooner, Monk is running exact same rifle setup as me, make, length, calibre, brass, projectiles, powder and his is fine with half a grain more than I'm at now. He was also getting the same speed at 62 gr as I was with the 63gr I'm running now.
Bit of a pain, as it shoots consistant 1/4 inch groups...but lots of pressure
