Thread: 280 rem?

im not sure im in the right catagory but here goes, iv got a 7mm08 and since i cant go 5 minutes without frigging with my rifle iv been looking at ways to up the grunt from my rifle.

is it as easy as getting my chamber reamed to make it a 280 rem? i know its based on a 30-06 case which if im not mistaken has the same case diameter as a 308, 7mm08, so my extractor should still work. my rifle is a single shot so no need to worry about mag.
