A mate of mine shoots a 284.
He did a lot of research and decided that forming it out of Lapua 6.5x284 was the easiest/cheapest way to get good reliable brass.
Yes Winchester do, do a run of it, but the reports are that it's a bit shit.
The sizing up was super easy, but in his case he had a really tight chamber cut for his barrel and required neck turning, which if he'd had known about he could've had the chamber cut a bit bigger.
I'd be inclined to go that route as the initial sizing and potential neck turning will be a one off and the Lapua should outlast any other make of brass, making it cheaper in the long run.
