If you want to reload and end up with a 3" shell, you'll need ti start with shells that are longer than 3", either fired with the crimp unfurled or unfired hulls.
What reloading gear do you have for shotshells? I'd recommend starting with a fired shell as the unfurled crimp is much easier to re-establish compared to starting a new one.
Also, semi or break open shotgun?
If you are reloading for a break open, carry on, but for a semi you are either going to need a high quality shotshell with rims which resist bending and a hull/body that does not 'kink' when being reloaded/compressed or your going to find yourself in jam city...
Sounds like the too hard basket then. I'll continue with 2 3/4". Thanks for that.
