    Howdy all!
Does anyone load for the above? If so
what powders does one recommend? I only have R19 atm so need to buy some.
Pills I will use will remain the TTSX 150/130 and the 165 BT and maybe the Gameking if they shoot a damn within 300m...

I tend to use 2209 in mine with 168/208 amaxes
I did load up some 110 vmaxes with 2208 for giggles, they were doing about 3300 fps but it was a bit lively...

Cheers, I use 2209 in the Swede already so that would be handy, I would have thought maybe 2213 would have been the slightly slower/better option?
I’ll now look at the sites.

What barrel length are you using? This can mean some powders are better than others.

2209 is the powder to use in a .30/06. I have used it in four .30/06's and all will shoot very well with it.
150's at 2990 fps and 180's at 2750fps, and 220 grainers at 2400fps with max loads.

You can use 2213sc for 180's, and you can use 2208 for 150's. But I would start with 2209, and I doubt you will need to try another one, it will do you for everything.

56.5gr 2209 with a 165gr projectile is one of those loads that just works. Not the fastest load but accurate.

    Nice guys
    Barrel length is 23”

I have 10 boxes here ranging from 150 Superperformance, Norma BT to cheap shit so hopefully one will give a clue to weights it likes.
@Gibo, give us a yell when we can’t go fishing but can hit some range time🤙

2209 is a good one but in the Hornady book ( 10th Edition) they list Superformance with some of the bullet weights, this powder has a definite velocity advantage over other powders. Worth a try especially if they shoot well.

The boxed up Superformance suggests a 150 at 3080 FPS with a 24” barrel, we all know in the main they are probably slower than they say but certainly a powder I want to use soon.

Just checked the loading book and Superformance works better with the heavier bullets 180-220 gr. ( eg 212 ELD X with 56.3 grs of Superformance for 2600 fps) R 17 is one of the better powders for top speeds with the lighter bullets.

    59gns 2209 with either a 165SGK or a 165 SST gives me 2896fps, and very accurate.
