Thread: 30-30 Partitions

I understand Federal make a factory loading with Partitions and as their a premium bullet and likewise price as I am not reloading for the 30-30 yet I'd like to hear what others have found with this round in the humble but slow 30-30 as for sub 170y I reckon it would be perfect!

No direct experience but not sure why you would want such a sturdy bullet at modest 30-30 velocities? Good old cup and core is unlikely to let you down at this sort of pace...

All the moose of NZ are dead and there no kodiack bear to hunt either. You should be fine with the regular stuff. I had some really good accuracy in one of my 308 with the hornady flat base flat point 170 gr bullets.

For the ranges I hunt mostly and bearing in mind we have some large deer down south here I felt it would be a great round

good ol 150gn or 165 gn Interlocks or Remington coreloks 150gn or Speer 150gn hotcore would be go for bush hunting.
