Yea bro. Use the 165s in the roar in my 300wsm. Didn’t even bother with load development. Chuck some powder in, and projectile seated to fit in mag. Always going to be minute of deer in the bush. Retain there weight well and sacked everything I shot with it

Shot that young sambar with a tipped180gr interlock last week. 30.06 at about 40yards. Had cut the tip off. Lungs were soup. I suspect they are a tad on the hard side and need to hit bone.

Been using the 165gr, never had an issue to date. Everything hit fell over, seem quite velocity tolerant and seem to do the job. The 150 has been mentioned as being a bit less velocity tolerant than the 165 or not quite as robustly constructed, meaning they have a smaller effective animal weight range. I've not found that, but have not used them as much as the 165gr version. The 165 is advertised as being suitable for smaller to medium bodied game which basically is everything from goats pig and deer from a few meters to 300 or so if you park it in the right place. Works for me...

Have had to go to the 165gr SST version now, same basic pill with a fancy red plastic pointy end. A bit more spendy and slightly better ballistics but virtually the same. Only reason I changed is no 165gr Interlock #3045 in stock locally...

Nosler Ballistic Tip is a very similar pill, but sold as a box of 50 vs the 100 count Interlock and the Interlock box is about $20 dearer. Much nicer on my wallet nerves (I have a box there with a sticker saying $59.99 - ahh the good old days).

I have used the 150gr quite a lot...they are great on everything upto and including big red stags.
Dump a lot of energy in the animal and have recovered a far few very well mushroom ones under the off side skin.
Often the lead core will fall out of the mushroom but they were together when they came to rest.

Im using the flat base 150gr interlock in 308. Love them. And the price per 100 is on the cheaper side so win win.

Yes the RN are great. And probably all of need.

But i still have abt 200 of the 180gr. So, ill do my best to use them.

Then I'll go to the 165gr interlock. Bought 200 couple of months ago to guarantee stock.
