    30 cal Long range accubonds

Just doing some homework for my win mag project later on in the year pertaining to projectiles. According to Nosler it's G1 is a ripper .730! Has anyone tried these? I was under the impression(incorrectly) that the A Max and VLD were kings but apparently not!

Other options are the two above for long range, I was also wanting to try some Partitions and my old trusty SSTS(180gr).

I understand that the big projectiles might not work as well on Chamois/fallow so perhaps stepping down to 178 would be better for those two, or at I just making hard work out of what can be quite easy stuff?

    Any constructive input appreciated

That was definitely on my mind, my 308 already uses it anyways :-). But with the A max being superceeded by the eldx this may find the amax a problem(I may have it wrong but that's my understanding)

The BC of the LR Accubond is eye catching, but it's not really a LR projectile. Nosler have disguised the fact that the construction is not suitable for low velocity by giving it a high BC and hoping it is still going fast enough to get enough expansion when it hits your target at range.

Stick with the ELD-M or ELD-X. Both have high BCs and will do far better at LR. The ELD-M is the better option for very long shots, but not so good on animals up close. If that's a concern, go with the ELD-X.
