Thread: 300 whisper

I'm considering the 300 whisper (300/221) as a contender for a long range (out to 200m) subsonic hunting rifle with good accuracy.

Can anyone tell me if there are any current production rifles avalible in NZ chambered in this calibre?

Also has anyone had any experience shooting and reloading this calibre?

300 JDJ Whisper,Shilen barrel on CZ 527 was put together by Arther Clealand for Lucas Karresi (spelling)
Burris scope

240 grn on 9.8 grns H110 sub 1000
125 grn BT on 16.5 grns H110 2365

The Fenix TK11 is on a QD ring
Looks horrible but works
now has a 20moa rail and mildot scope and a bigger 5 chip torch

I have one in an AR15 - yet to shoot it.
Have a Dillon press setup to make the brass - always have around 500 made at a time - sell a bit on Tardme

Soon as my wire and X die arrive I'll be swaging expanding projectiles... waiting waiting
