    @Blair

    What rifle do you have?
    As the 200gn and upwards ELDs (and previous A-Maxes) are so pointy they need to seated in deep to fit many magazines, ie Saur, Tikka and Sako.
    You tend to end up loading them to single feed only. But extracting an unfired one is a right pain in a Sako 75/85.

    It’s a tc venture, have just picked it up so will be looking into how long I can seat them and still for the mag.
    Hopefully can fit them in the mag and still get good results other wise will have to single feed

    What I've done for the 300WM loads for a Sako A7, is to have 180gn SSTs to fit the mag for general hunting within 300-350m. As the A7 has a stupidly short magazine. Even factory 180gn soft points are touching the front of the mag.
    Then have the 200gn ELD-X as single feed, seated to 0.25mm off the rifling.
    Both loads use the same brass, primers and powder and pretty much shoot to the same POI at 200m. So easy to single feed for longer shots past 400m.

    I have a 308 for the closer stuff, looking to use the 300 for 300m plus. So will stick to just one load of possible. What load are you running with the 200gr ELDX?

    @Kelton haha no not at once, but if I’m going bush hunting take the 308. Tops or long work hopefully will take the 300 once it’s set up.
    Yes I have a pack of ELDX already. Were you going to suggest something else?

    I personally dont like them but dont let that sway you lots of people are having great success. I found them very accurate and 9/10 killed well but that 10th was always their lurking in the back ground i never knew when or were but it was waiting to cock something up for me and after 3 calibres lots of success storys but enough sad storys iv gone berger cals being 7mm Rm 300 WM and 7mm BM all high horsepower cartridges in my opinion
