Loading up a couple different rifles and want to focus on 200/210 grain projectiles.
I will be trying 200 eldx and 210 lrab.
Any advice on powders ideally I want to stick with adi and I'm thinking 2217 may be a bit fast and 2225 will be where it's at??
Adi loads seem anemic so if someone has quick load and can run some numbers that would be good.
Try RL 26 if you can get some, my load of 74 grs RL 26 with 200 gr ELDX gets about 2900 fps good accuracy too. Rifle is a Tikka T3. In the ADI 2217 and 2213 SC should work. I used 2213 SC with the 180 gr bullet not sure if it will generate enough speed for the heavier bullet. Worth a try though.
Thanks yeh I think 2213sc will be way to fast to generate enough speed.
I'm hoping for 2950 or thereabouts. Prefer to stay away from rl powders due to lack of availability
I used 83 84 grns 2225 for 3030fps with 210vlds. Seated right out in a sako
Thanks, one rifle is a sako finheavy the other a blaser. Will be ladder testing over the labradar. I think 2225 is the answer
ELD-M 208s in my 26” .300 Win Mag do 2980 with 2217 (H1000). It's probably the go to powder for this cartridge and is very temp stable too.

It’s a fast barrel - Bartlein 10 twist. Really speeded up after 100 rounds.
If you get sick of the speed arms race you can always try for accuracy I suppose...
Remington 700 with 25" Criterion std twist barrel and ASE suppressor on the front.

One hole @ 100 and very consistent.

That’s good shooting and a great load.
I was chasing accuracy too. It just happened that I found it at high velocity. I get 15 ES and .7 MOA over 5 shots.
My .284 Win is slow but accurate as accuracy is more important to me than velocity.
Obviously accuracy is important but to be fair I would rather an extra 150 fps and 3/4 moa than one holing shooting paper with an anemic load.Quote:

208 ELDM, 76.5gr 2217, 2860 fps. Federal brass, 3.62 OAL (still 50 thou or so off). Bergara B14 24".
Room to take it over 3000fps but started getting hard on the brass I reckon and lost accuracy closing in on 3000.
This load is not insanely accurate but its fine for headshooting animals at 400 or ringing steel at a K.

76-77gr of 2217 with 208 - 215gr is popular load that seems to work well for many
I don't reload ,but just incase somebody is interested.Iv got a 300win mag,browning xbolt,26inch barrel.After about 100 rds round thru it.I cronyed some Federal 180gr.Averaged 3083 ft/s,good speed.Not bad for $60 pkt and moa at 400yds.Il stretch it out further when the weather improves.
