    300 wsm

Now im sure their was a thread for 300wsm heavies so sorry if their is and iv missed it. How heavy can the go? Would it still sling the 245 berger at a good speed? Iv read lots on them in the past had a tikka never even used it . I seem to have a memory in my head that they were better with the 180s and under? Cheers

I'm slinging 2 hundies at a reasonable clip (not chronied yet) from a shorter barrel. 180's @ 2950ish was the other load I used.
    Either killed stuff dead

Cheers did you rate the federal?@mikee
@wsm junkie i see so id call that roughly maxish weight for decent velocity then eh the 245s would likly be to slow for what im my velocity goals would be

@Kelton i did have some 225 eldm's i was gunna have a play with but the 208's and 215's shot so well i never got around to it. Load D i actually got to 2850 with the 215's and 2900 with the 208's but the previous speeds i mentioned were accurate and i didnt want to trash my brass chasing speed.
Mines a Tikka with long bolt stop and modified wsm mag to load them long and im using fairy dust (rl26)

Again everything they were pointed at fell over so worked as advertised. I like them because they hold together and make an in hole and out hole. I had patchy results with eld-x's in my old rifle the one where the chance of a quick reload and followup shot was also very patchy

You wont catch me using hornady anything unless i come across 10,000 7mm 162 amaxs my results with eldx over 3 calls has being less than good the ones that worked were great but the ones that failed wound me right up. Id like to be able to shoot a berger at good speed out of 20" max

You could try a 190 or 210 vld if bergers are all you want to use.

Cheers @wsm junkie il give it ago it was just the bc of the 245 that grabbed my attention but more reading and il choose something if i dont like it il just rechamber quicker but be good to get some use out of it iv become to much of a bc snob after 7mm and 6.5mm logically i should just keep my saum but sakos and customs have also ruined me iv probably spent more on rifles than food the past 5 years
