    300wsm 190 grain projectiles

thinking of trying some Berger 190 grainers in my 300wsm

Powders I have that may be remotely suitable are rl17 and 2225.

Does any body have any suggestions for powder choices or any real world velocity figures and data. Will try to mag feed from a tikka but may not be possible

    Is this for long range?

I use 220gr hornady RN now win760 bookmax gets me 2630fps(which iirc is close to what the book said it'll be too), never worked up or anything its a pure hunting load topped the model 70 with the vortex I got from, you has taken deer from point blank to my longest shot. 290something (this is still point and shot with where its sighted in) , nothing moves after this hits em. Probably no help sorry

Should give you a good idea of what may or may not work.

Didn't try them. Using 190 targex and have shot 5 stage with the closest being 210m and the furthest being 550m. Only one. Has exited.

2 of the stags have walked and I have put another shot in to anchor them.

Not 100% convinced on projectile yet but very accurate

What are the recovered projectiles looking like Jock?
Doesn't sound like they are performing too well on animals.

Yeah not great aye basically just shrapnel. All have hit heavy bone and to be fair no deer has gone more than 20m... The two that walked just didn't drop but were dead on the feet
