Has any one tried the 225 ELD-M in a 300 WSM? The hornady reloading manual only goes up to the 220 ELD-X, so wondering if they’ll a little too long.
Be using a Tikka t3 and have RL17 and RL19 if that helps.
Thanks.

Without looking at relative lengths, I think you are pushing it with 225s. .300WSM isn’t really designed for that weight of bullet, and I would say you will need to seat them pretty deep to fit a T3 mag.
I use 208s in my semi-custom .300WM for 2980 fps and I had to load at no more than 3.5” OAL or unfired rounds would not extract, but you won’t get that problem. Try 208s instead?

You'll be pushing it with the Tikka 1:11 twist I'd have thought, unless you're running a faster twist aftermarket barrel
I load them in my T3. Long action bolt face and mag, and a 1:9 twist barrel.
With a short action 1:11 twist, you won't be able to.

Id run 178 eldm personally
I doubt the 225s will be stable in a 1:11 twist barrel & as above you will have to seat them pretty deep in the case to make them work. 208s work fine in the 1:11 twist t3, Well they do in mine anyway.
I know the 208s went super slow and the ballistics on the 180s where better to almost 1000y
