    .300wsm all rounder

    Hi team,

    Pros and cons

If I needed a bullet for 100-700 yards kills, best expansion and ultimate killing power speed 2900 - 3200.

    I hear very mixed messages

Getting one bullet to do that is hard. A bullet that will expand well at 700 may be too soft at 100 yd or closer. I hate to say it but consider two bullets, one for 0 - 300 yds and one for 300 yd +. In my 7mm mag I use 160 accubond up close and then 168 VLD for the long range stuff. Having said that I have used the 168 vld at 40 yds on a red hind and got complete penetration on a broadside shoulder shot.
My vote would be either the VLD or A-max and pick your shot at close range.

Two bullets?! Nah too complicated. It doesn't need to be exact just the best option, I'm pretty rough anyhow.

Nosler 180 BT goes well on goats 0-900 in the 300WSM I built

But what is your twist? How long is your barrel?

VLD should be OK close as well

Dont waste your time chasing every last fps, it doesnt matter in the real world, it wont make a difference, all it will do is cause head aches and frustrations. And dont listen to silly old cunts

168 ttsx. Rl-17 = wicked round. Bull Tahr at 520m this year went down like a sack of shit. And plenty or reds between 400-700.also had reds and fallow at only 20m not an issue there either
