303-22 Anyone got one and thoughts ?

Does anyone reload for 303-22 ?
    Thoughts and barrel twists etc

I had one offered to me recently and despite it being a real odd ball rifle and caliber I'm strangely interested in buying it
Includes brass and dies so pretty easy to get it going

It's a real shame it's not a 303-25 because that would have been an awesome caliber for medium game hunting

Well one of my projects is a P14 BSA sporter in 25-303. It has needed some tweaks, (bedding still to be redone), but havent shot it yet. I do have 3 loaded rounds for it to see how it goes.

You depart with mighty boasts, but you come back having done little.
Sounds like a typical hunting trip !

Yip probably better than my one although mine doesn't have the fish belly stock.
No dies etc with mine either.
Got it cheap enough just for the rolling body ( a ton a d stock).

Well a bit of a read up and it looks to be essentially a Rimmed 220 Swift
So pretty perky in the velocity department

I must go look at it again and check out the dies and cases and try and work out the barrel twist rate

Also from my reading it looks like you would also need a 303-25 sizing die to bring down 303 brass in stages to get it to 22 @Boxton as real friend would have at least given you the dies and a hand full of cases as payment for storage

Not a shame at all. I have a 303-25, complete with dies and all the stuff to enjoy it with. The .22 sounds to me like a 'barrel' of fun. Go for it, little to lose.
