Morning JD, these brought back memories of College athletics. Races started with a cut down 303, firing blanks
Boom, cough,cough,cough
Ha! Really @Maca49 that's a good memory to have.
Still have no idea of value must try Mr D
Is he still on holiday?
The old 303 had a very short barrel and was held vertically off the shoulder, Ready, Set, BOOM. Probably stored with the rest of the schools arsenal, including pistols, rows of 303s, .22s, brens, Stirlings etc. What a soft cock country we have become
We were complete with a range out the back! TV aerials a specialty, when the range officer wasn’t looking
Boom, cough,cough,cough
Yes I admit the gene pool has been diluted, is this just the problems we encounter as a population becomes larger or is it the super plot to disarm us all.
Dont know if he's on holiday, havent seen him in a while night shift seems to get in the way.
Value of 303 blanks: last year I bought, on Trademe, 14 rounds of 303 blanks for $5. They were CAC (which is what I wanted).
We must of gone to the same school. I remember the 303 had about a 10” barrel. No doubts when the race started !!!
Our range was a concrete block wall on the back field and a danger zone template ( no such thing in those days) would have covered about a 1000 houses and the rival school across the river.
He’ll has a tale to tell you @johnd. Hahaha
Boom, cough,cough,cough
Our range was a twin wall construction, filled with sand. Houses right behind it, only shot .22 rifles and pistols
Boom, cough,cough,cough
I wonder where they all are then, taken by teachers as souvenirs?
Boom, cough,cough,cough
I have some still tied up in the army paper and string. Actually I think they are rifle grenade blanks - purple on the necks?
