Lucky I asked here I went on google and came up with 50gr 760 but it filled into the neck and didnt feel right in my gut.

Lucky alright.

Although Nick Harvey lists 50grs of w760 as the maximum.

But it's never a good idea to work up a reload starting at the maximum.

I believe the Lee Enfield action is rated at 45,000cup and is possibly the weaker of the actions used for 303 British.
But someone who knows more about this might be able to enlighten us all.

Make sure you have the headspace checked too.
