Was a gong at 665.
I shot a stag in the ruahines at 400 or 440yards, and he dropped on the spot, and stayed down. When I got over there though, he was very much alive, albeit very paralysed. Finished him off, and found the bullet had hit the spine above the shoulder. I found the bullet under the skin on the offside, not much expansion. That was eight years ago, and I’ve not used the 130ttsx past 300 since then.
The other one was a much closer deer, which is where they’re best suited.
