Thread: 308 Projectile

Found this just under the skin of 2 year old hind I shot. Had gone in taken out both lungs and top off the heart
Short run of possibly 120 mtrs. Shot at 120 to 140 mtrs.

Projectile now weighs 124 grams so started at 165 Hornady BTSP weight loss = near 34%
Huge bleeding from entry obviously none from exit.

It did the job but is it good not to have an exit wound? This just hit a rib not shoulder bone then hit rib on other side
went through then stopped in its tracks.

I have about 150 of these loaded so wonder if good or bad...

Acceptable or should I try some other projectile?

Hate the thought that a more distant shot could mean a whole lot more running by the animal.. It stopped just short of some pretty scruffy bush..
