Thread: .308 Projectile change?

I’m running 165gr SST’s at 2,570 out of my bush pig. Awesome load. Dials up well too. Not sure why you are worried about meat damage. Good clean killing is important. We got 3 last night. Lungs etc were mush and nothing went further than 10 metres. And we got one front leg off each of them.
I’ve used a 308 for over 40 years, tried a heap of projectiles in the 150-165gr range. As @grandpamac said it’s a pretty easy cartridge to load for BUT I will stay with the SST’s because out of my rifle at the velocities they are loaded to they work.
