I would have thought that they would sell you blokes some kind of tacticool self defence anti zombie projectile.

There are distinct differences between the hunting cultures of the different countries:
NZ - it's all about carrying the bloodied stag out of the bush on your back to prove you are a man.
UK - it's all about being seen to wear the right clothes while shooting driven pheasants.
USA - it's all about having a concealed handgun with tacticool anti zombie bullets so you can shoot the burglar breaking into your house.
