Greetings Superdriver,
My son was out yesterday. He had his first FTR shoot for the season on Saturday and showed me his 10 shot group (on his bat phone sent by the target). It measured 150 mm wide and 92 mm high. This was a target rifle but it indicates the level of precision that can be achieved with a well set up .308. They shoot out to 1000 yards. I must invite myself out there to see what they get up to.
Regards Grandpamac.
Oh, I guess I'm just an oldie; I forgot about the Hubble scopes and dialling up etc.A deer is still a pretty smaller target at 500m. I'll shoot them up 400m but no further and that's with a very accurate .308 and 6.5 Creedmoor, but that's just me. Good luck with your hunting/shooting.
what powder and grain was he running to get 168 amax going
